罗伯特•C•艾伦（Robert C. Allen），北卡罗来纳大学历史系教授，主要研究美国大众娱乐与流行文化史，著有关于美国广播电视史的《话说肥皂剧》，关于美国19世纪与20世纪早期大众戏院的《令人不快的愉悦：杂耍表演与美国文化》。他开设有美国影视媒体史，全球化与民族身份，美国家庭社会变迁，社会与文化历史比较等课程。 道格拉斯•戈梅里（Douglas Gomery），马里兰大学美国广播与电影图书馆（世界五大广播图书馆之一）资深学者、荣休教授，曾在马里兰大学教授传播学，为《村声》杂志撰稿，出版了十余本关于美国媒体经济学与历史学的著作，如《好莱坞制片厂制度史》、《声音的到来》等，大量著作已被翻译为八种语言。
